Every Singaporean Son to protect his country for 2 years in his prime youth. For Family, for Friends, and the Loved ones.
Come to think of it, before I enlisted, I was rather reluctant like any other kid out there, refused to serve NS. With the stereotype mindset, thinking everything is just a waste of time, useless efforts are gonna be spent for these 2 years without any benefits. True, I wont say that this is 100% correct/wrong. Every individual has their own thoughts regarding NS.
2 years passed and I realised, how much I had missed the days in BMT, somewhere in the the east of Singapore called Pulau Tekong. There, I met 14 crazy bunch of brothers, where we arms on our shoulders and survived through the legendary 9 weeks of BMT.

Posted to 160SQN, met awesome friends there before and after my driving course. Many bros and friendships had been forged. Even though many unpleasant incidents did occurred, but I really treasured the 1.5 years I had spent together with those awesome people out there.

Time does fly passed without hesitation. I just want to give a big thanks to those who took care of me throughout all these while, accepting for who I am and all my mistakes. I learnt how to manage myself, how to handle different types of personnel, and how to adapt myself so as to blend into the surroundings and environment.
To me, I viewed NS differently upon leaving the service. I looked back on how much I had grown, from no one to someone who gotten the Outstanding Serviceman of the Month (Feb 15). Life doesnt only revolves bout us, its bout how we choose to make every happenings in life to be a fruitful and meaningful milestone that will keep us growing and progress to a better person.
- Enjoy the little things in Life. For one day you'll look back and realize, they were the big things. -
